Tag, your're it.

I have been tagged by my old friend Chelsea over at The Curly Cues and thought I would play along!

1. You must post these rules.
2. Each person must post 11 things about themselves on their blog.
3. Answer the questions the tagger set for you in their post, and create 11 new questions for the people you tag to answer.
4. You have to choose 11 people to tag and link them on the post.
5. Go to their page and tell them you have linked him or her.
6. No tag backs.
7. No stuff in the tagging section about ‘you are tagged if you are reading this.’ You legitimately have to tag 11 people

Here goes nothin'

Christmas time is here!

Merry Christmas Everyone!!

The non blonde

Well, the blonde project has come to a close.
It was a good run.
Only took me an entire year to get close to the color and look that I had in mind.
I am not going to lie though, it never truely achieved the specific look that I was hoping for.

Here is me at my blondest

It took some serious convincing on my part to get my stylist to believe I wanted to go dark.
She has been working with me on this journey to be blonde and made sure that I knew
once I went dark, there was no going back to blonde any time soon.

But, in the end... it's just hair.
I could cut it all off in a few months, who knows!

The hair appointment was quite a process.
So of course I snapped a few shots.

Here is me (with some roots) waiting to be transformed

To get the dye to stick, we had to paint on a filler first.
That filled the cuticles of the hair so that it could absorb color.
Here is what it looked like after we rinsed that out and dried it.

Then it was time to bring on the dye.
Me impatiently Waiting....

And the final product....

Ta dah!

What do you think?
 Blonde or Burnett?

winter wedding inspiration

I have always been a summer time wedding kinda girl, but recently I have fallen in love with winter weddings.

No, not like this.
I didn't say Christmas weddings.

I mean like these wonderful inspiration photos below!

You can add all the bling you want and it just builds whimsey.

No flowers in winter?
No problem, look at this great alternative!

LOVE this wintery wedding dress and jacket

Add a pop of color with a fun scarf

Seriously, it doesn't get more romantic than this!

And top it off with a lil' fur to stay warm!

Also, notice many of these brides aren't wearing white?!
This is a perfect season to surprise your guests with a more colorful gown.
Gold tones, silvers, creams, off white.
They all look amazing and rich.

Happy wedding planning!

PS- If your wedding is set for next winter, don't forget to hit up all the after Christmas sales this year! There are great deals on wintery branches, glittery decor and candles for half the price!

Happy Birthday Mom & A Dinner Party

Happy Friday!
Today is my Mom's birthday!
Ma-I just wanted to let you know how grateful I am to have you around.
You have been an inspiration to me and I hope I can be just as wonderful of a mother one day as you are to me.
I love you very much and am so lucky to have you in my life.
Happy Birthday!

Mom and me

Little Mom

Over the weekend, we had a traveling family dinner to celebrate.
The meal started at my house where we had soup!
Then onto the parent's house for a main course.
Finally to my sister's house for dessert and a holiday movie!

Of course I was a horrible blogger and didn't take any photos of our meal or us!
But, I did snap a shot of the dinning room after I set it all up!
I got to use the wedding china.
For the first time.

Not too shabby.

The soup I made was delish and super easy.
Here is the recipe.
It's Rachel Ray!

Make it!

Family Craft Day!

A few weekends ago I hosted a craft day!
A few friends and my sister, mom and aunt all came over with lots of ideas and inspiration.
We made snacks and then got to work!
There was knitting, crocheting, gluing, epoxying and lots of glitter.

Here are some photos of the day in action

Vintage glassware put together to be a funky candle holder

Paper cones to hold treats on the tree

My snow globe creation

It is made from an upside down ash tray, silver candle stick holder and a glass candy jar!
