Claudia's red tea cart

Apparently I am meant to have a little metal tea cart because they keep falling into my life.
When I was in Wenatchee this past summer a friend took me to this adorable little home decor shop, that was unfortunately closed on Sundays so I didn't get to go in.
However, in their front window among other fabulous items was a retro, red, 3 tier, metal tea cart.
It was the only thing I noticed in the entire display.

At that point I must have invited it into my Universe.

I came home from my visit empty handed but thought of all the neat things I could put on this little cart.
I needed to keep my eye out for one.
Flash forward 4 days.
Steve's Aunt Claudia calls us.
Her mother passed away and she was getting rid of a few items sitting around her childhood home.
She came across some baking pans, dishes, misc items she thought I would like and also, a little red tea cart.

She says" I don't know if you want this old thing, but it might go with your " retro" theme kitchen or something"
As she is talking, I am jumping up and down on the other end of the phone" I'll take it! I'll take it!" I told her.

She dropped it off at my house and it's perfect.
 I love it.
Right now it is serving as a mini buffet in the
 dinning room.

Maybe a week after I got the cart from Aunt Claudia, my mom called.
Her and my dad went on a trip down to the ocean for the weekend.
They were antiquing on their visit
( More like mom was antiquing and dad was walking behind her looking for records)
and they came across this cute little red tea cart and thought I needed it,even though we had never discussed anything about it before.
To which I replied, I already have that....exact...same...cart... (in red even!)
but she was correct in her assumption that I would want one!

Weird.

  1. When mom & dad call me to ask if I want something, it's either dead bugs or Kiss cardboard standees. They know us both well.
